An intimate ambient audiovisual duo where Sebastian Field’s layered guitar and Nicci Haynes’ live visuals shape slow-burning landscapes of drifting tone, fragile harmonics and shifting light, inviting close, attentive listening.
A seasonal series of ambient audiovisual explorations in Canberra, is presented in an intimate duo format for MOSSO: music in motion. Expect slow-burning sonic landscapes where tones and textures drift, settle, and unfold into an immersive listening space. Sebastian Field shapes layered ambient guitar, drawing out fragile harmonics and evolving atmospheres in real time. Alongside, Nicci Haynes creates live visuals with found objects and light, casting shifting forms that echo the music’s quiet movement. Together, Scenery offers a deeply attentive audiovisual experience, equal parts textural and transportive, inviting audiences to settle in and listen closely as sound and image slowly breathe into focus.

Artist Sebastian Field
Sebastian Field is a Canberra-based musician, composer, and producer with over 15 years of experience across songwriting, performance, and experimental sound. He began his career as a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with local bands including Cracked Actor, Burrows, and Julia and the Deep Sea Sirens, touring nationally and earning a nomination for Canberra Best Live Voice at the National Live Music Awards in 2016. Releases from these projects appeared through hellosQuare Recordings (Canberra), Feral Media (Sydney), and Provenance Records (Melbourne).
Since 2018, he has performed and recorded under his solo project, Sebastian Field, releasing three recordings through Provenance Records between 2019 and the present. His work has evolved from ethereal art-rock (Picture Stone, 2019) to bold explorations of ambient and electronic music (Sandcandles, 2021 and Prescients EP, 2022), reflecting a practice that continually experiments with texture, atmosphere, and spatial sound. He has toured nationally and internationally as a solo artist, and in recent years has increasingly focused on ambient, processed guitar to create immersive, textural soundscapes, developing a distinctive voice in contemporary experimental music.

Artist Nicci Haynes
Nicci Haynes is a contemporary visual artist based in Canberra, Australia, whose eclectic work spans drawing, printmaking, performance, installation, and experimental film. Live drawing performance in collaboration with dancers and musicians has become a significant component of her practice, events at which experimental languages spontaneously emerge between artforms. For Haynes improvisation and inventiveness is the common element in a diverse body of work. Nicci lives and works on the unceded country of Ngunnawal, Ngunawal and Ngambri peoples.
